At Sverigekompaniet, we are against the modern football that VAR, or Video Assistant Referee, is an expression of. You can say a lot about VAR, and it is of course positive in itself if more verdicts are correct. But the many and long stoppages as well as the silly millimeter justice where a tip of a toe, or a hand that is offside in the moment before a goal causes it to be ruled out, we believe destroys football. The spontaneity and joy at goals is also affected as so many goals are disallowed so the crowd does not dare to cheer immediately.
It is the passion we live for and what makes football so special. Intense goal cheers are among the most beautiful things we have.
We are proud that the Allsvenskan and Swedish football have so far resisted and refused to introduce VAR and we are trying with this t-shirt to do what we can to help in the fight.
