The world's best and most beautiful football league, Allsvenskan celebrates 100 years this year, 2024. We are certainly biased at Sverigekompaniet as we love Sweden so much, but for us there is nothing that beats Swedish football, because here the authenticity, the passion and the culture of the stands remain. The one that has been lost in so many other places in the football world with extreme ticket prices and removed stands as a result.

Of course, organized football was played long before 1924 in Sweden. The first SM gold was won by Örgryte as early as 1896 and the Swedish Football Association was formed in 1904.

Between 1910 and 1924, something called the Swedish Series was played where the Swedish champion was crowned and the SM gold was awarded. However, it was only in 1924 that the name Allsvenskan came into being.
